Formerly known as the Department of Black Studies, the department has served students for over 50 years in its efforts to stimulate critical thinking, impart knowledge, and prepare students for an ever-changing world. We continue to provide culturally grounded, academically rigorous, and socially relevant curriculum embedded with knowledge, skills, and resources that will benefit students personally and professionally.
